Church Find welcomes St Francis Xavier's Cathedral in Adelaide City, who are engaged in a revitalisation journey enriching the community, for all their latest times and information including times.
The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Francis Xavier patron of missionary countries and patron of our first bishop Francis Murphy (1844-58). Initial construction began in 1851 and there has been various phases of activity leading to the installation of the tower in 1996.
The cathedral is a busy place with several daily Masses, Rosary, and confessions as well as weddings, baptisms and funerals. Being the Cathedral as well as our parish church there are numerous Diocesean ceremonies scheduled.
You are welcome to visit the Cathedral any time, opening hours are 7:30am until 6:30pm. As you enter the cathedral tour brochures are available in the vestibule and if there are no services ongoing you are invited to take a self-guided tour. You may take photographs however please turn off mobile phones at all times.
St Francis Xavier's Cathedral is a Christian church situated in Adelaide City. Churches believe the entirety of the Word of God and worship the Living God, Jesus Christ, in Spirit and truth. Church Services are noted for their anointed preaching and teaching and the signs and wonders that accompany them.
