The Alice Springs Baptist Church has its foundations in the American Faith Baptist Mission, who had set up in Alice Springs in the mid 1960’s out of the Queensland Branch under the Rev Pike. The mission agreed in its early days to hand over to its fledgling congregation of 4 couples, who in turn established the Independent Alice Springs Baptist Church. Aligning with the Baptist Churches of South Australia, the first stage of the then new Church Building was opened in 1970.

From these very humble beginnings, the Alice Springs Baptist Church outgrew its facilities several times over the years, adding on halls and a sanctuary and finally in 2005 sold its buildings and purchased a large industrial property and developed a new multifunctional facility consisting of a 500 seat auditorium, large hall and kitchen facility, library, break out rooms and office complex.
