Life Christian Church was established in 2004 as a result of the vision Peter and Kerrie Shurley received to plant a church in the North West Coast region of Tasmania. Prior to planting the church, Peter toured internationally for many years as one of Australias most popular Gospel recording artists. He is an ordained minister and is president of the Australian Christian Churches movement in Tasmania.

Life Christian Church is a pentecostal family church established in association with Australian Christian Churches. We exist to fulfil the following statements:

Statement of Purpose: Nurturing People, Supporting Families, Building Community.

Vision: Nurturing people in relationship with Christ. Equipping people to live successfully for God, releasing His potential in their lives.

Mission: To be a fundamental Bible based community church with a foundation in prayer, the Word and discipleship. A next generation church whose nature is one of creativity, excellence and integrity. Initiating community programs that bring people of all ages into a relationship with God through Christ and into maturity of faith. Through discipleship, help people discover the personal will of God for their lives and equip and release them to effectively and fruitfully serve God, their community and the nations.
