Hunter Trade College

Church Find welcomes Hunter Trade College in Telarah, who are engaged in a revitalisation journey enriching the community, for all their latest times and information including times.

The Hunter Trade College is a NEW APPROACH to vocational education in NSW - more RELEVANT, more FOCUSED and more EFFECTIVE in meeting the needs of both industry and young adults.

The College is a private not-for-profit Company. It is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in NSW and is an accredited senior school for delivery of the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC).

The Hunter Trade College operates at its new purpose built facilities at Maitland (Telarah).

Students are selected on their aptitude and desire to commence trade training in Years 11 and 12. There is an equal emphasis on the completion by all students of a Higher School Certificate (HSC) as they commence their trade training. During this training students are provided with workplace mentoring, ongoing work and study assistance with an emphasis on employability skills.

The Hunter Trade College staff have considerable experience in industry and schools. Teaching staff are trades qualified.

Students at the Hunter Trade College are able to select from the following trades:

• Carpentry,

• Light Vehicle Automotive,

• Electrotechnology

• Metals & Engineering Mechanical and

• Metals & Engineering Fabrication.

The Hunter Trade College in partnership with industry leaders, who provide expert advice, ensure the skills the students learn are relevant to current needs.
