Church Find welcomes St Joseph's College in Albany, who are engaged in a revitalisation journey enriching the community, for all their latest times and information including times.
The College has a rich historic and religious tradition. It was founded through the amalgamation of schools run by the Sisters of St Joseph’s of the Apparition and the Christian Brothers. Although there are no longer members of these Religious Orders on staff the College honours their charisms. The Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition continue to have a presence in Albany and the College has a close association with them. The College also has close links with Holy Family Parish. Holy Family Church is located adjacent to the College.
Religious Education is the primary responsibility of families and at St Joseph’s College we are proud to support parents in the faith education of their children. All students in the College participate in the Religious Education programme.
Liturgies are celebrated regularly in the Ave Maria Chapel and students participate in College and Parish Masses. Students prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation at the appropriate year levels. Prayers and liturgies are an important part of assemblies, class and House gatherings.
Reflection days and retreats are an integral part of College life and provide a rich experience for many students. An important part of the College’s faith education programme is its promotion of the principles of Christian service and social justice. Students are involved in service and fundraising projects
