Holy Spirit Infants School Abermain is part of the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese and is located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia.

Our school is a small Kindergarten to Year 2 school. Our students attend Holy Spirit Primary School Kurri Kurri for the Primary grades.

Holy Spirit Infants School provides modern resources for both students and teachers with a computer ratio of less than 1:3. Our school has a network of 30 computers and 81 students allowing a great opportunity for individualized instruction of technology skills.

The school offers a well equipped library and excellent playground facilities. Our school is currently undergoing extensive building work with new administration, student and staff facilities.

We have many varied specialised programs including the SWELL Literacy program, Gross Motor, the Essential Moves program, Choir and Verse Speaking and Survival Swimming for Year 2. We also have specialist teachers coming in to the school for art and sport lessons.

Many individual programs are incorporated, including an Early Intervention program, Special Education programs and Individual Specialised Reading.

We acknowledge parents as the Prime Educators of their children and encourage them to be actively involved in all aspects of schooling from involvement in classroom groups as Parent Tutors to joining our highly valued P&F Association.

We offer a sound educational curriculum catering for the individual’s talents and needs in an inclusive school environment. We believe in educating the whole child, both Spiritually and Academically. This is done in collaboration with home, Church and community groups while giving consideration to the society in which the child lives and the stage of development at which the child is operating spiritually, academically, socially and intellectually.
